       Setting:

     Long, long, ago on a island of Sicily.


Summary: 

Damon and Pythias are two true and great friends of their time and their friendship is famous all over the city and other villages. The time they are living is currently ruled by an aggressive, cruel and tyrant king. The king made every one made tons of tax. He killed anybody who even dare to stand against his cruelty.

  

     Pythias once stood and he said that the king is cruel in front of the kings soldiers, which made soldiers angry. The soldiers took him to the king and Pythias was still on his words. The king told him that the people have made him an ambassador to the king for his cruelty. But Pythias denied and self proclaim the idea. The king ordered that he will be hung in few weeks and he sentence him to the prison until the day he is hung.

   

   Damon came to the prison to see his friend when he got informed about the situation. He was not allowed at first to reach Pythias but later he was allowed. When he saw Pythias, he had no words to say. Pythias advised Damon to look after his mother and sister after his death. But Pythias wanted to create such circumstances for his family that they dont even need any help. So, Pythias shared this feeling with Damon. Damon suggested talking to king. 

  Damon asked the king to let Pythias go for some day and will do some thing for his family until then damon himself offered to be prisoned for him. The king past some comments on him and his friendship. And then he allowed the Pythias to leave.

 Pythias left and it took him two days to reach his home. He started a small bussiness foor his family and planned to leave 3 days before the his death sentence. 3 days from the hung schedule of  Pythias, The King came and asked the Damon that why his friend was not here yet. The Damon said nothing but that he trust his friend. 

 Pythias left home and his mother tried to stop him but he said that he has a promise to obey. In his way, he met two robbers who not only robbed him but also tied him on a tree. Pythias tried very hard to free himself, and it took him an overnight time to get free. Then Pythias in a condition of hunger and thirst tried hard to walk. 

 It was the noon on which Pyhias should be hung but on his place Damon was carried to be hung. The king stood on a higher platform and told Damon that his friend was not gonna come and he will be going to die on his place.

 But somebody saw Pythias coming from far and everybody saw Pythias and so did the King. King was amazed on this situation and he accepted the faithfulness and friendship between the two friends. 

 The King got so affected by this friendship that he not only let the two friends free but also lift off his cruel taxes from the public.

In this way everyone was happy, and everybody was screaming with joy.
